Yan Zhen was pinned against the car by Chen Huaixu, kissed for what felt like an eternity. Close to suffocating, she was granted only a few precious seconds to gasp for air before he returned, his lips and tongue claiming hers again, a deep, insistent sucking. Their breaths mingled, ragged and intertwined, the soft, sticky sounds of their kiss filling the charged air. One of his hands cradled the back of her head, the other wrapped around her waist, his body a cage around hers. From the rear window, all that was visible was the broad expanse of his back and the tantalizing glimpse of Yan Zhen’s slender legs.

Through her hazy vision, she opened her eyes, taking in his long, lowered lashes and the captivating mole at the corner of his eye. As if sharing a single thought, his eyes opened to meet hers. In that intimate closeness, their gazes locked, and the dark depths of his eyes erupted with a potent, unreadable emotion. His kiss deepened, possessive, almost devouring. Yan Zhen’s muffled struggles were met with his arm slipping beneath her knees, lifting her effortlessly into his arms before laying her down on the back seat, his body pressing down on hers.

His weight pinned her down, leaving her no room to escape. Kicking and pushing proved useless; all she could do was rake her nails across his back as his lips ravaged hers, stealing her breath and leaving her speechless. The enclosed space filled with the constant sounds of their panting breaths, their hungry kisses, and the rustling of clothes, igniting the air with a heady mix of desire.

Only when someone approached the car, tugging unsuccessfully at the locked door, did the sharp click of the handle snapping back break the spell. Chen Huaixu released her. Their tongues, intertwined until that very second, parted with a wet, glistening strand of silver that stretched between them before breaking. He brushed it away from her lips with a slow, deliberate stroke of his fingertip.

Freed from his hold, Yan Zhen scrambled back, her spine hitting the car door as she put distance between them. Her hair was disheveled, her eyes shimmering with a film of moisture. Her lips, swollen and red from his kisses, glistened invitingly. A blush crept from her cheeks to her ears. She glared at him, but the look held more coquettishness than anger, doing little to intimidate and only fueling his desire to push things further.

Chen Huaixu looked away, steadying his breath as he pressed the unlock button on his car key and rolled down the window. Cool air rushed in, dispelling the intoxicating heat that had filled the car. He deliberately shielded her from the curious glances of the person outside. "What's up?"

"Meimei gets carsick, not you. What were you two doing in there, dawdling? Get to work."

Yan Zhen closed her eyes, feigning sleep.

"I'm putting in both the money and the effort. Doesn't seem quite fair, does it?"

"You had ten minutes to rest. Not satisfied?"

A smile played on Chen Huaixu's lips as he savored the memory of those ten minutes. "Coming right now."

Once Lu Jingxuan had walked away, he closed the window again. Yan Zhen, anticipating another kiss, instinctively curled up, gritting her teeth. "Chen Huaixu, you cheapskate! I'll pay you back, just don't push it."

He simply reached out and pinched her cheek. "Sleep." He draped his jacket over her and got out of the car. As the door clicked shut, he heard her muffled voice, "P3rvert!"

His fingers lingered on the car door for a few seconds before he turned and walked away, not bothering to deny her accusation. He had been obsessed with her for so many years; perhaps he was a p3rvert.

After Chen Huaixu left, sleep evaded Yan Zhen. Her mind replayed the intense kiss in the car. Glancing out the window at his retreating figure, she muttered a few more resentful words under her breath. She pulled out a mirror from her bag and began to fix her appearance.

Once satisfied that she looked presentable, she opened the car door and headed towards Yan Zhao.

Her older brother was lounging in a chair, scrolling through his phone. Yan Zhen found it unbelievable. "Everyone's working, and you're doing this?"
