The distant howl of wolves sent a searing pain through Zong Jun.

His scouts had reported that the Great Khatun had gone east. He'd immediately spurred his horse in that direction, his whip falling relentlessly on the rump of his beloved steed, leaving bloody streaks. Finally, a flicker of light appeared in the distance, but then he heard the snarling of wolves.

Yaoyao… His mind emptied of all other thoughts. Ignoring the cries of his guards, Zong Jun plunged into the pack, his bow drawn. An arrow pierced the wolf lunging at Yao Ji, spraying blood. The slender girl collapsed to the ground.

“Yaoyao!” Zong Jun's eyes burned red as he scooped his wife into his arms. “Kill them all!”

Yao Ji awoke in the warmth of the golden tent.

As her eyes fluttered open, Aqing, who'd been keeping vigil by her bedside, cried out, “Princess! Princess, you're awake! You're awake!”

Seeing Aqing's eyes swollen like peaches, Yao Ji shifted her weak body and forced herself to sit up. "Don't cry. I'm alright. I wasn't injured." She'd fainted from the shock of seeing him amidst the chaos. The relief had caused her to lose consciousness. The thought spurred her to ask, “Where is the Great Khan?”

“The Great Khan is outside. He…”

Aqing's hesitation sparked alarm in Yao Ji. “What happened to him?!” There had been so many wolves, and Zong Jun had charged in first. Could it be…? Her heart ached, tears welling in her eyes. “Tell me! What happened to him?!”

Hearing the commotion, Zong Jun, who had been pacing restlessly outside, lifted the tent flap and strode in. “It's nothing. Just a small injury.”

“What injury?!” Yao Ji scrambled to grab his arm. Seeing the bandage on his upper arm, her eyes reddened further. “Does… does it hurt?”

Aqing had discreetly slipped away. The thick candles in the tent illuminated Yao Ji's delicate features. Zong Jun felt his throat tighten as he saw the worry and anxiety in his wife's tearful eyes. His heart swelled with love, a desperate urge to pull her close. He reached for her, then abruptly hardened his expression. “Whether I'm in pain or not is irrelevant. If I don't teach you a lesson today, you'll continue to be so reckless.”

He grabbed her waist, flipped her over, and pushed her onto the bed. With two swift motions, he ripped her undergarments, exposing her creamy bvttocks. Then, he spanked her.

Caught off guard, Yao Ji gasped as the cool air hit her skin, followed by the sting of his calloused hand. He delivered several sharp blows, reddening her tender flesh.

Not satisfied, Zong Jun pulled her across his lap and gripped her chin. He snorted coldly. “Do you understand what you did wrong?”

Yao Ji, stung by the unexpected punishment, sobbed but refused to answer. Her bottom burned, but not with pain. It was a strange mix of numbness and tingling. Zong Jun hadn't hit her hard, but her sensitive skin reacted intensely. The spanking, combined with her humiliation, made her stubbornly refuse to admit fault.

“Stubborn little thing,” Zong Jun muttered, his hand hovering over her swollen buttocks. Seeing the imprint of his hand on her creamy skin, he hesitated. He spread her legs over his arm and pinched the bud peeking from between her petals. “Tell me! Do you admit your mistake?”

“W-w-w… you brute…” Yao Ji whimpered, her bud now pinched between his fingers. Her entrance twitched, revealing its delicate secrets. Zong Jun's finger slipped inside, probing and teasing. She trembled, a wave of moisture escaping her. “You’re bullying me… you brute…”

Her tearful accusations, her flushed face, her soft voice—it all sounded more like seduction than scolding to Zong Jun. He gritted his teeth. “I’m a brute? And what are you?” He lowered his head and captured her sensitive bud between his lips, murmuring, “You’re the brute’s wife…”

“Ah…” The mere brush of his warm lips, the scent of his masculine breath, sent another wave of pleasure through Yao Ji.

A soft sucking sound filled the air as Zong Jun drank her sweet nectar. His tongue flicked and lapped, his hand gripping her tense leg. He buried his face between her thighs, greedily lapping up the waves of arovsal until Yao Ji went limp. Finally, he lifted his head, licking the glistening moisture from his lips. “Will you run off again?”
