Chapter 5 - She Has an Attractive Body
Qin Feifei's home wasn't too far from the Zhong family villa, just a few kilometers away in the neighboring gated community. Though different in style, both exuded the same understated luxury. Jiang Yi had heard Feifei talk about her family, and having attended the wedding in October, she knew they were well-off, true blue-blooded heiresses. Qin Feifei, bubbling with enthusiasm, pulled Jiang Yi along by the hand after they got out of the car.
"Just wait, you're going to love Mrs. Wang's cooking!"
They entered the house and reached the living room, where Qin Feifei stopped mid-sentence, her eyes landing on a figure on the sofa.
"Brother?!" she exclaimed, surprised. "What are you doing back here?"
Qin Zezhou looked up from his tablet, his gaze briefly sweeping over Jiang Yi before returning to his sister.
"Finished with work, so I came back." His eyes then shifted to Jiang Yi as he rose and walked towards her. "Hello, I'm Feifei's older brother, Qin Zezhou." His tone was gentle, his demeanor polite and elegant. He even extended a hand.
Flustered, Jiang Yi quickly reached out to shake his hand. "Hello, Feifei's brother. I'm her classmate, Jiang Yi."
"Yes, we've met," he said, "but you don't remember."
A little embarrassed, Jiang Yi gave a dry laugh. "There were so many people at the banquet…"
Qin Zezhou looked at her, a small smile playing on his lips. "Yes, far too many."
Jiang Yi felt a strange pressure on her hand, as if he had caressed it. She sensed something amiss, but he had already withdrawn his hand. Dismissing it as her imagination, she didn't dwell on it.
Qin Feifei, growing impatient, rolled her eyes. "It's not a business meeting, Brother. No need to be so formal with the handshakes."
Her words made Jiang Yi reconsider the introductions and handshake. It had indeed been rather formal. Feifei's brother was clearly a workaholic business tycoon.
After her comment, Qin Feifei tugged Jiang Yi's hand. "Come on, let's go to my room. Brother, call us down when dinner's ready!"
Before being whisked away, Jiang Yi nodded at Qin Zezhou. He returned a gentle smile. As she turned, his smile faded, his gaze darkening. He slowly curled his right hand into a fist, lightly rubbing his fingers together. That touch… undeniably smooth.
At dinner, Jiang Yi and Qin Feifei sat on one side, Qin Zezhou opposite them. Dining with a stranger at an unfamiliar table was inevitably awkward, and Jiang Yi felt a little stiff. However, her discomfort soon dissipated. At the table, Qin Zezhou's refined demeanor and engaging conversation, coupled with his gentle words and warm smile, put her at ease.
After dinner, Qin Feifei showed Jiang Yi around the villa before they settled down to do homework in her room. Around nine o'clock, Jiang Yi said her goodbyes. Qin Feifei's face fell as she begged her to stay, assuring her that the guest room was ready. After a moment's hesitation, Jiang Yi agreed. She then called Mr. Lin, the Zhong family's butler.
Back at the Zhong residence, Zhong Cheng, unusually, was sitting in the living room. He listened to Mr. Lin relay the phone call, his expression unreadable. "Staying overnight at the Qin's?" his clear, youthful voice echoed.
"Yes," Mr. Lin confirmed.
"Hmm," Zhong Cheng replied. "No need to prepare the car. Let Mr. Wang clock out. You've worked hard too, Mr. Lin. Get some rest." With that, he headed upstairs.
Mr. Lin was puzzled. Was the young master concerned about Miss Jiang Yi, or was this just a whim?
