On May 12th, a new transfer student arrived in Class 3 of the second year at Twelfth High School.
“Hello everyone, my name is Feng Yiman. I’m sixteen years old. Please take care of me.” A girl in a pink and white hoodie stood at the podium, introducing herself. She finished with a slight bow, thanking everyone.
The class teacher led the applause to welcome the new student. Her gaze swept across the room, and then, gently placing a hand on Feng Yiman’s shoulder, she guided her to the last row by the back door—the only empty seat in the class. “You can sit here for now. I’ll rearrange the seating this afternoon and assign you a new spot.”
Feng Yiman nodded politely. “Thank you, teacher,” she murmured.
She sat down carefully. Beside her… slept her new deskmate, a boy in a white t-shirt, his face buried in his arms, completely out cold.
She knew this type. Either a slacker or a delinquent. The same crowd always occupied these back-row seats in her old class.
The class teacher nudged the boy’s chair with her foot. “Wake up! School’s out!”
The boy startled awake, lifting his head sluggishly and turning towards the back, ready to see which little punk had the nerve to disturb him. He fully intended to retaliate, only to find his pregnant class teacher, arms crossed, staring him down.
Shoot. This was one authority figure he couldn’t afford to mess with. He turned back around, irritably rubbing his face. “Teacher, you’re this far along, shouldn’t you be home? Aren’t you afraid of giving birth right here?”
The teacher chuckled. “That depends on how well-behaved you are. If you really make me mad, I’ll blame it on you!” She noticed the girl sitting next to him. “This is our new transfer student. Don’t you dare bully her!” Then, softening her tone, she reassured Feng Yiman, “His name is Chen Yu. If he gives you any trouble, you tell me.”
“Thank you, teacher,” Feng Yiman said, nodding her thanks once more.
Chen Yu’s ears perked up. Hmm, nice voice. Soft, gentle, kind of like… well, an AV actress.
After settling Feng Yiman in, the teacher returned to the podium and began the lesson.
Feng Yiman felt incredibly self-conscious. Chen Yu kept staring at her. She wanted to glance back at him, actually. His name was oddly familiar.
She’d been reading a manhua recently, a boys' love story, and the tsundere uke was named Chen Yu. The image of the manhua’s Chen Yu, wearing bunny ear headbands and acting cutesy in the arms of the dominant, charismatic seme, made her want to squeal and roll around.
Chen Yu propped his feet up on the bar of her chair. He noticed the tips of her ears were a little red, and the corners of her mouth seemed to be twitching with a suppressed smile.
Was this girl alright? What was she smirking about?
Feng Yiman hated when people put their feet on her chair. She turned sideways, intending to quietly remind Chen Yu, but found him staring at her with a dark expression.
Their eyes met, and the air thickened.
She was intimidated by Chen Yu’s delinquent aura and the strange look in his eyes.
His current demeanor didn't quite match the tsundere uke she imagined. He was more like the charismatic, overbearing seme. The words of warning died on her lips.
What if she annoyed him and he hit her?
Chen Yu had no idea what was going on in her head. If he did, he’d probably kill her.
Right now, his attention was focused entirely on the area between her shoulders and her waist…
Hmm…just how big were they? Was it the hoodie making them look bigger? How big were they really?
